In a world that forbids children, two kids will break every rule to find their mom.
Nothing exciting happens on the remote moon of Nebo. It's home to Kieran and Tallulah McCade, a brother and sister who dream of being anywhere else, even though Dad says it isn't safe. Not to mention that their starship, Seraph, is currently just a glorified fishing boat.
The only thing they want more than adventure is their mom to return home. She disappeared a year ago on a mysterious trip to Kepler, a planet run by the powerful Corp, which has outlawed children. People aren't born anymore; they're made.
Except Kieran and Tallulah were born anyway.
When a ruthless Corp agent comes looking for Mom, the McCades realize she might still be alive—and in terrible danger. The family flees aboard Seraph with new hope that they can bring her home.
The kids must dodge the Corp, recruit a crew, and find their mom. But first, they'll have to learn how to even fly a starship to begin with.
In a galaxy where children are illegal, Kieran and Tallulah McCade are the most wanted fugitives in the stars.
When a Corp bounty hunter invades their quiet moon searching for their missing mother, the siblings must blast off aboard the rundown starship Seraph. To bring their family home, they’ll have to outsmart an empire, recruit a ragtag crew, and learn to fly a starship in the first place.
Firefly meets A Wrinkle in Time in this hopeful space adventure for the whole family.

Meet the McCade Family
Kieran
Smart and strong, Kieran keeps Seraph running with his engineering knowledge and love of machines. The only thing he wants more than to see the stars up close is to find his mom. He watches out for his younger sister, but that doesn’t mean he’ll let her win when they race across Seraph’s main deck.

“Space—never-ending, awe-inspiring space—enveloped Seraph as if it were a friend welcoming her back after spending far too long apart. Despite the dark and the danger, warmth spread through Kieran at the sight, and he felt as though he was finally where he was meant to be.”
Tallulah
When Tallulah isn’t tending to the on-ship family garden or bringing in a catch of radiant eels, she’s most likely to be found wrapped up in her imagination. She’ll face whatever danger necessary head-on to reunite her family. Creative and kind, she always looks for the best in people, even when they don’t deserve her faith.

“Tallulah was beginning to realize that home wasn’t found in Seraph’s various decks and systems. No, home was her family. Sharing meals, dreams, snuggles, and disappointments together changed a house—or a ship—from a place to live to a place to be loved.”
Beau
A man with a mysterious past, Beau McCade now leads the life of a humble fisherman. But that life is changed forever when his wife goes missing. Nothing is more important to him than keeping his family safe and giving his children the best possible life, even if that means going against the powerful Corp that’s long hunted him.

“If I have to choose between following the rules or protecting my children, I’ll choose the latter every time.”
The World of Seraph’s Flight
Seraph’s Flight takes place in the fictional Avianis Dyad system. This system is about 2,000 light years away from our own solar system. If you hopped on board an incredibly advanced spaceship that could travel one million miles every single day, it would still take you more than 32 million years to reach the Dyad!
The Avianis Dyad is a binary star system with multiple planets and lots of moons for our characters to explore. Here’s some concept art of the McCade children’s home moon of Nebo:
